If you’re going through a hard time right now, you need to read this.

Sometimes you’ll hear people say that there is a reason for everything, or a time for everything. They’re not wrong.

Life moves in ‘seasons’ and as the seasons change, well…we change too. Sometimes these seasons can be the best and beautiful warm sunny days that make living quite enjoyable. But we all know that life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. You’ll be minding your own business one minute then suddenly got the damn apocalypse kicking down your front door, dragging your ass out into chaos, and then leaving you out there. You go from ‘isn’t this nice’ to ‘what the hell just happened’. Ladies and gentlemen, LIFE.

I’m about to get a little religious on you right now (brace yourself). In the book of Ecclesiastes 3:8 (that’s in the bible, kids, don’t knock it), it states: “there is a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”

Now, I’m not the most religious book in the bible box (nor do I really agree with some of the things in it), but we have to understand that when hardships and struggles happen, it’s often because life is trying to prepare us for something bigger and better. Not only that, but its to also better ourselves. We’re not meant to stay in the same place, we were made to move, progress, and grow. We will experience a time of ‘peace’, which may be our more relaxed and happy moments when we don’t have to worry about anything. And then there will be a period when we will experience a time of ‘war’, which may be heartbreak, death, anxiety, fear, or any other unpleasantries. Its during those rough times where we have to put in some extra work because…well…nothing in life comes easy! Sometimes that extra work can put a significant amount of strain, stress, and emotional drainage which can leave us feeling like there’s no damn hope for anything and wishing that it will end. But alas, bad times never last and there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. We just need to continue walking towards it no matter how much you want to curl up into the fetal position and die dramatically (Sims reference). When we make it out at the end, we are 400 times stronger than before. We turned that struggle into a strenth amidst the darkness. So if youre feeling defeated right now in that fetal position, you aren’t a little b****, get up and keep walking. You have strength to gain.

Your hardships and struggles aren’t meant to defeat you. They are (really weird) blessings in disguise designed to make you the most powerful warrior that can take on anything. Embrace it and come out roaring like a damn jungle cat. Our biggest struggles become our greatest strengths.

Fight for your time of ‘peace’, little fighter.
